There is some holiday or special occasion that is celebrated every month during the year. Foods and festive meals are ritualized parts of these celebrations. While these should be enjoyable times of observance and gathering with friends and loved ones, these events can be stressful for people who are dieting. Consider the following questions:
what do you see as the willpower challenge(s) on special days and holidays throughout the year?
what does it feel like to be dieting when others are eating and celebrating with foods you cannot eat?
what coping skills do you use in these situations?
